How can I hang a curtain rod embedded in the plaster walls.?

not in front of the window, so attached to the frame is not a solution. I hung a family quilt using a curtain rod and these hangers Pincher. screws in the curtain rod walls. it came with little plastic pegs to turn the screws, but if I try to put in the wall collapses. if I'm just trying to screw in the wall collapses. can someone give advice. I can put small nails in the walls to hang pictures from but I think the quilt would stalk and supported by this.

Plaster walls and tower SUCK ... but there are posts somewhere, they are harder to find, but they are there! Here is what you will find ... 1.) Search for an outlet or switch. Electrical boxes are typically anchored to studs. From the nearest outlet or switch, as in increments of 16 inches (the standard placement in most building poles) to the area you want to block the stem. Test to see if you have found the post by drilling a 1/16-inch bit and see if you get resistance. If it goes straight into the wall, measure again closest to the electrical box, but try to 24-inch increments, which is a less common standard. 2. Examine your baseboards. Unless the installers were drunk (or were you), baseboards down your Walls must be nailed to the posts. Even with putty and paint, if you get on the floor and see up close, you can find patches on the tiny heads nail, revealing where your posts should be. Good luck and good hunting! Edit ... NO! Do not pay attention to that man below me. You can not use Anchor on a plaster wall ... the hole just become more and more until it slides right out of the coating.
